Tooth Colored Restorations
We use composite filling materials (tooth colored) because we feel it is a superior product, both in strength and appearance. These materials are endorsed by the American Dental Association.We use this material in both front and back teeth fillings. The cost to place a “tooth colored” filling is generally more than to place a “silver filling” because of the increased cost of the materials and time needed to place such a restoration.
Most Insurance companies will cover this type of restoration. Some Insurance companies elect to reimburse at a silver filling rate. In rare cases, they may elect not pay for them at all. In all cases, you are responsible for the balance that your insurance does not cover.
